 Welcome to the SPIID page! This name hides one person - Sabīne - the only creative, performing and doing person.

I have been fascinated by crafting since childhood, creating both fairy-tale characters and imaginary creatures.

 After many twists and turns in my life, I graduated from the Latvian Academy of Arts - textile and functional design studies opened wide opportunities and a view of what and how I want to create. I fell in love, got to know sustainable fashion and design. I realized how I want to act- in a way that is friendly to nature and people, so all my products are made of ecological, nature-friendly materials.

In my creative work I use various natural matherials-  silk, organic cotton, linen, sheep's wool, also scraps of natural fabrics (to reduce pollution of nature and give them a second chance) and leather scraps. 

Organic sewing threads, natural elastics and other sewing accessories are found, purchased and used with sustainability in mind, so slower will always mean a little more expensive.

The second important direction in which I work is screen printing and printing with reflective colors - to think about the sustainability of human life and its beautiful protection.

I create prints with Latvian flora and fauna motifs, which inspire me a lot.

I know and believe that by making the right choices, together we can make the world more beautiful not only for ourselves, but also for our children and grandchildren.
